Free Art Friday - Derbyshire (Free Cash)

Having just stumbled upon the movement that is 'Free Art Friday' HERE and realising that the rural areas might be missing out I've decided to try and redress the balance starting this Friday (9th November 2012) with some localised drops to see what the reactions are.

I've created a brand new multilayer stencil for the occasion Johnny Cash and a new material, old vinyl records, that I've spray painted using my usual stencil technique.

As a fan of a poor pun, I was originally just going to do a set of Johnny Cash and basically leaving 'Free Cash....

but then I got carried away and made a few others:

Each one is numbered on the reverse..

So next week, Friday 09/11/12 I will set about leaving quite a few bits and pieces throughout the Derbyshire dales, I hope they find nice homes.. keep your eyes out...

I'll post location shots as soon as they are located, follow ramart79 on instagram or twitter (@ramart79) for live updates on dropday, also..

How do you combine:
1) A love of Stencil Art
2) A retro 80's TV icon
3) A nice cup of tea and a sit down
4) A bad pun

Alan Partridge - Stencil on Canvas Video

Another piece of work that was comitted to video and beautifully edited by the very talented Paddy Rogers.

This time it is the legend that is Alan Partridge of 'Day Today' , 'Knowing me, knowing you', 'I'm Alan Partridge' and 'mid-morning matter' fame. Made using hand cut multilayer stencils and spraypainted onto canvas.

"Lynn what's that song?"

"It's the theme music to Black Beauty Alan"

"It's brilliant!"

Morrissey - Stencil on Canvas Video

A picture may paint a thousand words, so the number of words that moving pictures of a painting must paint is anyones guess.

A few weekends ago I filmed myself spraying a Morrissey Canvas and enlisted the help of my talented Bro in Law Paddy to edit it, here is the output of his hard work...

Morrissey - Spray Painted Stencil on Canvas from Ramart79 on Vimeo.

Please note the video has been sped up, I'm not quite that fast yet.

Hope you like.
